Let’s pretend a little,
that this is our heaven
that this is happiness.
Please, don’t say anything, now
I don’t want to leave.

Make your life a poem.
Let’s pretend a little,
that this is our heaven
that this is happiness.
Please, don’t say anything, now
I don’t want to leave.

I have enough of this silence
Silence around me
and voices in my head.
You’re still surprised
that I don’t say anything.
You would also be silent,
if you kept telling
your thoughts to be quiet.
It’s so exhausting, that
saying words is a torment.
They disappear behind a haze.

You gave me those few moments
and that’s all
I didn’t want anything else
Every night I felt you were there
No, I never waited
I’ve never wanted anything
Only to thank you
that you were there for me
Goodbye now
I’ll remember you
As the one
sweet boy
Forgive me
I leave again
with no words
You gave me those few moments
but it’s over
I didn’t want anything else
Every night I knew you were there
No, I never wanted to stay
forever with you
I want to thank you
for all the moments spent together.

You wouldn’t like to be eternally in love.
You wouldn’t like to be eternally possessed.
You wouldn’t like to be eternally bruised.
So take this rose eternally lacking of water.

You want things you cannot have
you want things which they have.
But when you get it
what are you going to do?
You always want something.
You want to own everything.
But when you get it
you become conceited,
you stop seeing.
But when you get it
you forget that you have it,
and you don’t know anymore
what you wanted it for.
You want everything to have nothing.

Every day now
it’s twice as long
When I’m still thinking of you
And not intentionally
I go to the place
where we were together
and we talked all night

Where are you my friend
Where did you go?
Maybe it’s not too late
you could love me again.
© W. Donovan
You came and
wanted me to say
that I love you.
It didn’t matter
whether it’s true
whether it’s not.
‘I love you’
I said.
I don’t know, if you believed.
You only smiled.
And you left
knowing you have a reason to live for
knowing there’s somebody who needs you
knowing you are important for me.
At least, somebody loves you
and you’ll never be alone.

Street lamps brighten her path
Birds’ singing fill her ears
The trees are her companion.
She’s standing here now, deserted streets.
And only the wind brings old whispers.
She sees a girl waving at the window.
Only wind, wind, wind
brushes her hair aside
Only wind, wind, wind
whispers tender words in her ear
Only wind, wind, wind
touches the palm of her hand.
Empty streets and empty gardens
Lost in the space of emptiness
Overwhelmed by nothingness, meaningless
Alone in the midst of a row of benches
Where only the flowers seem to be alive.
The sudden clatter of the train gives her hope.
Only wind, wind, wind
imitates a kiss on her lips.
Only wind, wind, wind
covers her shoulders like a coat.
Only wind, wind, wind
evokes a feeling of huge emptiness.
